In contrast to standard testing procedures, Laser-ultrasonics offers a non-destructive and non-contacting method to determine the surface hardening depth.
This talk gives an overview on the underlying principle and the measuring method.
Results will be shown on inductively hardened samples with a surface hardening depth of several millimeters.
