System Development

System Development

From Lab to Fab

Our expertise is the research and development of acoustic and optical systems, with a clear focus on customer-specific requirements from industry. The goal is to bring the latest technologies in the field of NDT from the laboratory bench to our customers and their applications. Therefore, we can offer in-house prototyping so that we can respond quickly and flexibly to customer requests. We can also cover small series with external partners. The CE labeling on our devices and systems confirms compliance with applicable EU directives and regulations.

  • Prototype manufacturing
  • Small series
  • CE conformity

System Integration

If suitable devices for a specific task are already available on the market, we select the respective components based on the best price/performance ratio, independent of the component manufacturer. These are adapted to the application, expanded with additional components, and/or integrated into the customer's existing systems. This applies to both hardware and software. At the customer's request, integration into an (existing) process control system can also be carried out in order to enable process control in addition to process monitoring in the best case scenario.

Miniaturization

Often, there are special requirements regarding space and mobility of the measuring system, whether in the laboratory of the quality department, on the process line, or the desire for a mobile measuring device. Thanks to our expertise in optics, acoustics, and electronics, we are able to develop and manufacture more compact measuring systems by focusing on the functions required for the specific application. While mobile spectrometers were still a dream of the future a few years ago, handheld devices with integrated micro-spectrometers and evaluation units are now available for a wide range of applications.

Process Analytical Technologies (PAT)

Digitalization in industry (buzzword Industry 4.0) requires the recording of all possible process parameters along the process line. The development of process analytical technologies (PAT) that monitor in-line process parameters and make them available for process control is therefore essential for a digitally networked and efficient industry.

  • Reduction or complete elimination of sampling in the ongoing process
  • Quality assurance in various process streams
  • Real-time information as the basis for process control
  • Extraction of information from sensor data using machine learning
  • Raw material and energy savings through monitoring and optimization
  • Cost-effective, compact, and robust measurement technologies for industry
