In the workshop “Hands-On: NDT Methods”, you will gain an overview of current methods in NDT (non-destructive testing) for non-destructive product testing and material characterization, including theoretical and practical components:

• Acoustic methods (ultrasound, acoustic emission, impact test, etc.)
• Optical methods (OCT, THz, thermography, etc.)
• Others (eddy current testing, radar, X-ray, etc.)

In the practical part, you will gain important insights for your projects:

• Selecting the right method for a specific problem
• Measurement setup
• Sample preparation
• Performing measurements
• Evaluating and analyzing measurement data

Training information:

• Target group: laboratory, R&D, QA, scientific staff
• Duration: 1 day (08:00 – 17:00)
• The training will take place with a minimum of 5 participants.

Theory and practice in spectroscopy: The workshop “Hands-On: Spectroscopy” includes a theoretical section with an introduction to the basics and advanced topics in

• NIR spectroscopy
• Raman spectroscopy
• THz spectroscopy

In the second half, participants can gain important practical experience for their projects:

• Measurement setup
• Sample preparation
• Performing measurements
• Evaluating and analyzing measurement data
