In the context of this master thesis, the SAFT algorithm is to be extended to complicated surfaces (e.g. curved component, weld seam, rough surface). The so-called time-based
SAFT (Synthetic Aperture Focussing Technique) algorithm is often used to reconstruct defects from the signals obtained for flat surfaces.
The master's thesis contributes to our ongoing COMET project We3D.

Laser sources in the mid-infrared (MIR) are a key technology in various areas of spectroscopy. As a Master's student, you will develop new sensors based on MIR quantum cascade lasers for use in the pharmaceutical industry as part of an EU project. You will explore innovative approaches and learn about the latest developments in the field of photonics.

We look forward to receiving your application!
