Alexander Ebner receives the Erich Wenzl Prize for university graduates

For his master thesis entitled "Quantum Cascade Laser Based Infrared Spectroscopic Ellipsometry", Alexander Ebner was presented with the main prize in the category “university graduates” for outstanding scientific achievements.

The Erwin Wenzl Prize was presented by Governor Thomas Stelzer during an award ceremony at the Bildungshaus St. Magdalena on 15.07.2021.

The Erwin Wenzl Prize is an annual honouring of extraordinary achievements by young Upper Austrians. Students, pupils and apprenticeship graduates are on an equal footing. This makes the prize unique, at least throughout Austria.

Achievements in the most diverse fields and areas of life are awarded together, the most diverse paths in life meet and the award winners celebrate their success together.

After RECENDT's participation in the Wenzl Prize 2019 (link), this appreciation of Alexander Ebner's work is a special pleasure! Especially, since the Wenzl Prize 2020 (which was presented late due to COVID) is the worthy conclusion of a series of awards for Alex's research work (E-MRS Young Researcher Award, Macke Award, OSA Announcement)!
