Inline-sensing network meeting in Deggendorf
The second network and expert meeting within SINOPES, the Bavarian-Austrian network for inline sensing in production, took place on 23 November 2023 at the Fraunhofer EZRT, Application Center CT in Metrology at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology in Lower Bavaria. The main aim of the meeting was to discuss trends, needs and solutions in inline sensor technology in the Bavarian-Austrian region, as well as the results of the first expert workshop and the needs assessment in operational practice.
In his keynote speech, Michael Kuran from Micro-Epsilon Messtechnik presented sensor solutions for the production of new battery technologies.
Dr Jürgen Streicher from Joanneum Research presented the results of the first network meeting held in July. In the subsequent panel discussion, the results were highlighted by Dr Martin Sellen, Managing Director of Micro-Epsilon Messtechnik, Prof. Dr Tomas Sauer, Director of the FORWISS Institute at the University of Passau and Dipl.-Ing. Michael Kunze, CEO of MKey Solution GmbH. The afternoon programme included guided tours of the Fraunhofer Application Centre and presentations on applications of industrial X-ray computed tomography.
