EDDY is a project in the scope of the initiative „Vorzeigeregion Energie“ (Energy showcase region) of the Austrian Klima- und Energiefonds.
It is a project embedded in the NEFI innovation network „New Energy for Industry“. The target is, to improve the energy efficiency of industrial drying processes.

In a consortium together with AIT, Fischer Brot GmbH and AGRANA Stärke GmbH, we develop and apply novel process-integrated sensing-technology  in various drying processes for bakery products and for potato starch. The sensors provide accurate real-time measurements for the drying status / remaining humidity in the product. Based on that, the optimized process control is derived to ensure optimum drying results together with minimum energy consumption.
