The company Research Center for Non Destructive Testing GmbH (RECENDT), which used to be the research department for sensor technology of Upper Austrian Research GmbH, became an independent company in early 2009. Its shareholders are Upper Austrian Research GmbH (74%), Johannes Kepler University Linz (20%) and FH OÖ Forschungs und Entwicklungs GmbH (6%).
As an internationally well recognized Research Center for Materials Characterization and Non-Destructive Testing, RECENDT GmbH operates very successfully on the Austrian and international market since 2009.
Milestones in the early years were to become a non-university Christian Doppler laboratory (CD-lab) for Photoacoustics and Laser Ultrasonics (until 2016 RECENDT operates one of only two non-university CD-labs in Austria) and the "special award for Research" at the Innovation Awards of the federal state of Upper Austria in 2010.
RECENDT gained internationally acknowledged reputation as a partner as well as a coordinator in numerous national, EU- and international projects. The company is well established as a popular partner for local SMEs as well as multinational enterprises.
